Thanks to Jade, who made all the arrangements, the Radicals finally all made it to tea at the Brown Palace on the last Saturday in January. What a beautiful scene. The seven of us Radicals *plus one Radicalette* sat around a large square table just inside the lobby door. I don't know if anyone had been to high tea there before, but it was my first time, and I felt so spoiled.
After our last-minute ride arrangment shenanigans, I decided it was the afternoon to also try my first belini.
Our server presented our three teas, The Brown's Crown Jewel, Vanilla Rooibos (in honor of the previous book selection The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency), and the Jasmine Fragrant Cloud green tea (which is described as light and ethereal, which is one of Pioneer Woman's favorite words!).
We noshed on scones with Devonshire cream and preserves and tea sandwiches and pastries. The delectable dishes were second only to the beautiful, quality girl-time. Thanks, Ladies!
