Pumpkin Pride - My Alma Mater

Wow, it’s been a big week for Morton (“Pumpkin Capital of the World”), IL!

First, we had to say goodbye – on Prime Time – to a Mortonite contestant on “The Bachelor.” I’ve never been an avid follower, but felt I had to watch to see what transpired as Natalie vied for Jason’s hand in marriage. Last night she was eliminated, but not before she went on a crazy date ($1 million worth of diamonds on loaner, lear jet and helicopter rides to Vegas, private concert).

Just now, thanks Facebook, I learned that the MHS marching band was one of the 90 organizations taking part in the Inaugural parade! Wow!

Morton is slowly but surely taking over the world.

Morton, IL ??? You are from Morton??? Did I know this? Does Tracy know this?

I lived in Morton after College (Bradley University) before Tracy and I got married. My job was in Peoria and Tracy lived in Normal, so Morton seemed like the logical place to be.

Small world I guess.

Hi Eric - I don't know if you would have known I was from (and by "from" I mean "went to high school in") Morton. I *think* at least Tracy and I may have talked about the Central IL connection, or at least I knew you guys went to Bradley. Go Potters!
