...to the Breck 100 this Saturday!
We'll head up Friday for Scott to attend the mandatory pre-race meeting and inhale some questionable pasta. Then he'll be up bright and early *hopefully sporting his new Schneider Electric race kit!* to hit the trail at 6am on Saturday morning.
100 miles on the mountain bike, climbing 13,719 vertical feet. Jeez, that's almost like climbing a 14er from sea level...
The kids and I will hope to see him after each of his three laps finish at Carter Park, right near our condo for the weekend. There may actually be a decent crew of spectators and rally peeps on hand, so that should be fun! Usually at the end of such a ride, Scott's ready for a beer and some grub and then to hit the hay rather early...but if you're in the neighborhood, or looking for a reason to get up to the mtns this weekend, stop by! We may have a rally tent (supporters need beer too...in fact, I'm fairly certain I had a margarita by myself at the hotel bar last year after the day was done...) set up.
Catch you on the other side, probably with lots-o-pics!
Remember last year's race? Scott did 67 miles.
